LYRICAL
This class is a combination of classical and interpretive dance where students will learn about the expressive and emotional side of dance. Where lyrical dance often involves movement to ‘lyrics’ in a song, contemporary is much more abstract and so the choreography in class will explore both of these genres.
Intermediate Lyrical/Contemporary – Ages 9-12
Sub Senior Lyrical/Contemporary – Ages 13+
UNIFORM
Attire: Black leotard or black tight fitting top, black shorts or leggings, and tan jazz or classical pink ballet tights
Hair: Secured off face (e.g. bun or ponytail)
Shoes: Foot thongs
